About Vultr $2.5 & $3.5 Plan

#1

Hi there,

I am a Vultr user from last couple of months and recently they introduced a 2.5 and 3.5 dollars plan.

But, I am not able to use those plans, any idea?

Why, what is the specific problem you are facing?

*You cannot downgrade existing instance. You can always create new.

#3

I don’t want to downgrade.

I am looking this plan for a new site, but I can’t find an option of that plan.

Okay, fine.

At the moment, that plan is only available currently in New York (US) region.

Okay, got it…

I selected Dallas as the location, that’s why…

Thank you brother

It also shows that it only supports IPv6, is there any problem in that?

You’re welcome!

Only having IPV6 has some disadvantages, you must know it clearly before choosing that plan.

Problem 1: You cannot login to IPV6 only server on all ISP

  • Unless you use IPV6 network Internet provider, you won’t be able to access the server using Putty.

Solution: If you are a JIO internet user, then it’s okay. Because, they support IPV6. Alternatively, using Web Console which is bit frustrating.

Problem 2: WordPress can run but only for IPV6 users. But, this can be fixed using below solution.

Solution: Just keep enabled Cloudflare proxy. It will start supporting for IPV4 and IPV6 both users.

Please read this below guide for more details.

You may choose $3.5/mo plan if you want things easier.

Have any additional questions? Please feel free to ask.

Any advantage for 3.5 over 2.5?
