Hello @Murali_Naik

To fix it, you need to add ads.txt file at public_html directory.

I am using vultr. I don’t have cpanel. How to upload ads.txt file?

  • Install and activate WP File Manager plugin and drag ads.txt file into public directory.

I am also getting the same error

Anyone facing the issue you can either upload the file using a FTP client or else if you are lazy like me can download this plugin.

there you can edit your ads.txt file save changes now go to example.com/ads.txt to verify.

Thanks a lot, my cute DEVIL! :kissing_heart:

I am not sure really adding this file, will make any difference.

Unfortunately, Google doesn’t share same views as you and I’m not comfortable trading my earnings for a one line file.

Hello friend, this is not about robots.txt but AdSense is asking to add ads.txt file.

How can I tell if it’s already added and if I had to add can you help me through the process.
Thank you as always

For fixing this error, you only need to create an ads.txt file and upload it to your website, by doing so, you are giving Google rights to sell your ads inventory.

Ads.txt file contains:

<FIELD #1>, <FIELD #2>, <FIELD #3>, <FIELD #4>

Field #1 – Domain name of the advertising system

Field #2 – Publisher’s Account ID (Required)

Field #3 – Type of Account/Relationship

Field #4 – Certification Authority ID (Optional)

Follow the below steps to fix this error:

  1. Create a .txt file and name it Ads.txt.
  2. Add the below code in the file.

Note: Make sure to replace 0000000000000000 with your Publisher ID which you can find by going Settings>Account Information.

  1. Upload this file into the root directory, you can upload it using it Filezilla or you can download WP File Manager plugin and upload that using it.

Is this done correctly and thank you for your help.

They asked you to add Ads.txt and you are adding Ads.txt…txt
