How to add hCAPTCHA to WordPress website

Hey folks,

Maybe you have heard about it maybe not. But here I am with the tutorial How to add hCAPTCHA to your WordPress website.

Before we jump into it, let’s have a sneak into its features and a bit of introduction.

So, hCaptcha is simply a ripoff of reCAPTCHA but with privacy. People’s and websites were using reCAPTCHA until they have a thought that are they serving a lot of their data due to these small cute CAPTCHAs everywhere.

So, someone came with hCAPTCHA ( CAPTCHA for Humans). While reCAPTCHA was using a lot of data about your behaviour and cookies and sending to Google server.

This new hCAPTCHA just show you a image puzzle and you just need to solve it. That’s it. No data transfer to any server.

Even big corporations like CloudFlare moved from reCAPTCHA to hCAPTCHA because of pricing and privacy. As Google is going to charge for using reCAPTCHA.

Pricing and Privacy is not the only thing. hCAPTCHA also pays webmasters for implementing their service, and pays per CAPTCHA solved.

I recently implemented it on my website too.

It’s pretty simple.

Step 1: Open WP-Admin Dashboard
Step 2: Install hCAPTCHA plugin
Step 3: Signup for an account at hCAPTCHA website and verify email
Step 4: Grab Site-Key & Secret-Key
Step 5: Add both keys on Website
Step 6: Choose where to show the hCAPTCHA and Save
Step 7: Add payment method to get paid

Here’s how it looks on my website:
