Never buy domain names on Godaddy - It's a crap

#1

Hi Guys,

2 Days ago, I successfully bought a domain name on Godaddy. It was available at a normal price and I registered for 1 year. I was busy, so I checked it’s delivery status today and it was not delivered to me even after 2 days of ordering.

Then I checked in “Search domain” option and it was available to buy as a “Premium” domain. This is how Godaddy treats its customers?

The domain which I bought in 250 Rs 2 days ago, is now available to buy in lacs. It’s unacceptable.

Is there any way to get back that domain name? Please suggest.

Thanks and Regards,
Dinesh Sangwan

Cannot understand! You bought the domain from GoDaddy and it was not delivered! Never happened to me! GoDaddy is at fault then! Call them!

Yes that premium thing is crap!

Yes, it never happened to me also!

But this domain name was really awesome and even I could resell it at much higher price after buying (though never thought about it)

I talked to Customer service over a voice call, First, he said this name was not available to buy and it was registered by someone else and he told me to check whois info.

I checked and told him that there is no info on Whois.

Then I got the reply that “The team who create domain names have registered it on their own”

They are simply stealing domain name ideas :frowning:

I got the exact same reply :frowning:

I wonder how someone did not register that domain name yet.

Two months ago, Someone was saying the same thing in a Facebook Group. (Which I faced today)

Namecheap: $ 9.69 and Namesilo: $ 8.39
and GoDaddy: 796.

There is not much difference in the prices.

With Google, domain renewal will cost Rs 860.
With GoDaddy Rs 796
With Namecheap: Rs629.17

The final price is Rs 629 from that offer of Namecheap for domain transfer. @Amlan

I am using namecheap and in a month i register more then 15 domain of clientes.
Never face issues.

Godaddy gave me problem in domain registration. I purchased domain with privacy. It was successful order but after 4-5 hour they cancel my order without any reason and reply from support is not clear.

After that i always prefer namecheap.
