Sucuri Vs Cloudflare

#1

I am using sucuri ($10/month) for a long time on my website with BunnyCDN. Also using DNS Made Easy ($30/year) for my website DNS. After using some days website speed does not increase as I want.
So i plan move my website to Cloudflare With Pro. Also I am running a simple Technology blog on WordPress so does it need high security.

So @GulshanKumar My Cloudflare Moving plan is best for your opinion for getting a good amount of website speed and requirement security?
Please let me know as early as possible.

My personal experience

Features Cloudflare Sucuri
How they deal with Indian traffic? Mostly serving from outside country in Free and Pro Plan, Business and Enterprise plan works better. Serving from Singapore, still performance is best compared to Free and pro CF users
How effective is their caching policy? Cloudflare offers wide range of feature for implementing cache such as Browser, Cookies, Tag, Page rule Limited features
Do they support Brotli? Yes I am afraid, will never enable again.
What features you find trustworthy in them? I am under attack mode, page rule, Country Blocking two factor auth, DDoS Protection, Country Blocking
Overall performance Subject to vary according to plan You will get amazing performance in India and USA both.
Can you use WebP images? Yes, easily in the one click Tough

Now, you can decide yourself.

@GulshanKumar suppose that you is my Big Brother and what you will suggest me cloudflare or Sucuri .
Please give me right answer.

#6

In short …

  • Cloudflare Business/Enterprise would be better if you want to cover Indian audience. Free and Pro may not as good for Indian traffic due to poor routing. For USA, any plan should work fine.

  • Security wise, I think Sucuri would be better.

I prefer Cloudflare. Because even in their free plan, there is always more features to use.

#7

Do i use pro plan at starting time?

But Cloudflare has 4 servers in India. So why Cloudflare has poor Routing. Also what you talk about their image optimization?

#8
  • Pro Plan may be helpful if you use its WebP feature and its special Web Firewall settings that is for the WordPress. But, don’t expect much…

Wrong. Cloudflare has only 3 Datacenters in India: Mumbai, Chennai, and New Delhi. But still, you cannot get its benefits unless if you are a Business or Enterprise users.

According to Cloudflare, the high bandwidth cost is a cause.

Currently, only Business and Enterprise users may get better prioritised over Free and Pro as per their support team. We recently did a case study and have found this true.

Dear @GulshanKumar you did not answer me clearly. You confused me ever time. Or use Sucuri for india and usa.

#10

What’s your target audience? Select and get answer.

  • India > Go with Sucuri.
  • USA > Go with Cloudflare.

Suppose that 55% traffic from USA and 45% traffic from India so which should be best?

#12

I think, Cloudflare in that case.
